Where Do Tangos Come From?
Who wrote the songs we dance to? How were they written? In this lecture, Jake will take us on a tour of the Golden Age, showing us the origins of the tango on stage and screen. With footage of familiar tangos in their original staging, we will get a glimpse of how songwriters changed their forms as the genre developed from the 1920s to the 1950s.
