Tango & Mingle: A Magical Night with Tango Mercurio & Dance Place

More than 35 guests filled the beautiful Dance Place theater for Tango & Mingle, a vibrant evening of tango, community, and discovery co-hosted by Tango Mercurio and Dance Place.

The night opened with a lively networking session, followed by a stunning tango demonstration by the elegant maestros Nick & Galatea. A lighthearted introduction to Argentine Tango’s history and music set the stage for a 60-minute Tango Exposure Class, led by instructors Joerg and Sarah, perfect for beginners and the tango-curious.

As a finale, performers Nick & Galatea and Joerg & Sarah wowed the audience with an improvised tango set that featured a spontaneous partner switch mid-song—met with delighted cheers from the crowd.

The evening wrapped up with a festive reception, where guests mingled, shared their experiences, and enjoyed the communal energy. Special thanks to DJ Yulia for the perfect soundtrack and to our inspiring performers and instructors.

We’re deeply grateful to volunteers Marni, Celine, Tuan, and Dan for their support, and to Dance Place’s Khyia, whose thoughtful setup and welcoming spirit made the evening shine.
